Dr. Thomas Levy identifies link between dental infections and heart disease at upcoming Holistic Oral Health Summit

The most prevalent killer in the U.S., heart disease, claims the lives of more than 600,000 Americans each year, and while there are countless risk factors associated with the malady, one concept that deserves more attention is the link between oral health and cardiovascular disease.

Thomas E. Levy, MD, JD, a board-certified cardiologist, has written six books on health-related issues, with most of his work focusing on restoring and maintaining health in the wake of chronic exposure to environmental toxins.

One of Levy’s most passionate topics is the relationship between the mouth and the body, particularly the heart, which will be discussed in his presentation at the upcoming Holistic Oral Health Summit.

Featuring 34 of the world’s leading holistic dentists, the Holistic Oral Health Summit will be available FREE online September 28 through October 5 and will explore the importance of improving oral health, reversing gum disease and preventing cavities and systemic infections caused by oral pathogens.

Dr. Levy’s presentation is sure to spark interest, as the information he is about to provide will surely change lives, particularly in regard to the decisions patients make at their dentist’s office.

Dental infections and massive heart attacks

When one considers the cause of a heart attack, they often think of risk factors such as high cholesterol, high blood pressure, diabetes and even genetics; however, dental infections can sometimes be to blame.

Dr. Levy, who now limits himself to research and writing, will touch on the following points at the Holistic Oral Health Summit:

The power of the elements: Discover Colloidal Silver Mouthwash with quality, natural ingredients like Sangre de Drago sap, black walnut hulls, menthol crystals and more. Zero artificial sweeteners, colors or alcohol. Learn more at the Health Ranger Store and help support this news site.

  • The shocking reason blood clots could form in your heart
  • Strategies to neutralize and eliminate the effects of toxic exposures

“The work and the research that I’ve done over the past few years tells me – and I think that it’s a very hard, scientific case that can be made – that increased oxidative stress not only develops disease and helps maintain disease, but in point of fact the state of increased oxidative stress, in a tissue, in a cell, in an organ system, IS the disease,” says Dr. Levy.

“I’ve seen a lot of incredibly sick people – from all around the world – who were getting dental revisions, root canals removed, mercury getting cleaned out, getting IV vitamin C and I saw incredible improvements take place that my medical training told me could not take place,” he said.

“Modern cardiology has very precisely found that inflammation of the arterial wall is at the root of all coronary artery disease. But, for some reason, they don’t seem to be curious or aware of what the ‘next layer of the onion’ is. In other words, if all the coronary arteries are inflamed… WHY are all the arteries inflamed? Were you just ‘unlucky?’ No, you had dental toxicities pouring into these blood vessels.

“Bottom line, the inflammation in the coronary artery is there because there is infection being seeded from somewhere else in the body. And, greater than 90% of the time, that’s because of a root canal or gum disease.”
