The ‘mainstream media’ continues to prove President Donald Trump right for accusing them of being ‘enemies of the people,’ as evidenced again in recent days by the coverage of his first in-person rally in months held in Tulsa, Okla.
In the lead-up to the rally, one Left-wing outlet after another fretted and lamented that the event would become a ‘super-spreader’ of the Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19).
“’Turning Point’ Or Massive Risk? Trump Gambles With a Rally in Tulsa that Could Shape His Campaign,” declared USA Today in a headline.
“Trump Campaign Did Not Reach Out to Tulsa Health Officials Before Potential ‘Super Spreader’ Event,” lamented Mother Jones.
“Trump’s upcoming campaign rally could be the US’s next coronavirus superspreading hot spot,” Business Insider blared.
“Tulsa Braces for Trump Rally’s Health Threat as Virus Cases Rise,” The New York Times trumpeted.
Yes, the number of coronavirus “cases” is rising, but as the president noted, that’s because a lot more testing is being done. And every expert who isn’t afflicted with Trump Derangement Syndrome knew that was going to be the case.
“You know, testing is a double-edged sword. We’ve tested now 25 million people,” Trump said at the rally. “Here’s the bad part. When you test, when you do testing, to that extent, you’re going to find more people. You’re gonna find more cases.
“So I said to my people, slow the testing down, please,” Trump continued, in jest. “They test and they test. We had tests that people don’t know what’s going on. … We got another one over here. The young man’s 10 years old. He’s got the sniffles. He’ll recover in about 15 minutes. That’s a case.”
On Monday, the president added on Twitter, “Our Coronavirus testing is so much greater (25 million tests) and so much more advanced, that it makes us look like we have more cases, especially proportionally, than other countries. My message on that is very clear!”
Speaking of the media, Trump’s joking comment drew the interest (ire?) of the media. On Monday, White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany was actually asked if the president ‘directed’ less testing (as if he has the authority to do that).
“No, he has not directed that, and in fact I would note that we continue to test about 50,000 per day,” she noted, as Fox News reported. “Any suggestion that testing has been curtailed is not rooted in fact.”
So, where was all of the media’s sobering commentary and heartfelt concerns when Black Lives Matter supporters were gathering in major American cities, social distancing requirements being completely tossed to the coronavirus-infested wind?
And what’s more, why isn’t the media more concerned, considering that coronavirus is known to more severely impact and affect black people?
In fact, you could argue that the Left-wing establishment media has actually encouraged, as well as defended, BLM protests and gatherings, which often draw large numbers of persons of color — without ever once expressing concern they could be at greater risk of contracting COVID-19.
In fact, during a “Fox News Sunday” interview, host Chris Wallace actually put that question to Joe Biden’s spokeswoman, Symone Sanders, who is black.
We need an executive order NOW to stop this scam. The same people pretending to be to scared to go vote because of Covid, are the same ones marching & terrorizing the streets in groups of 1000’s #NoMailinVote pic.twitter.com/W4Kb4Vf8Pa

Wallace began the show by asking a health expert if the Trump rally could be a super-spreader, and he began the Sanders interview by asking her to comment on the rally’s lower-than-expected attendance. But he seems to be the only one questioning the dramatic hypocrisy on “super spreader” warnings.
“I want to pick up though on this whole question of the public health of these mass gatherings, Symone, because when there were tens of thousands of people marching in the streets and, quite rightly, in protest for the death of George Floyd and the issues of police brutality, there were so many of them — not maybe most, but many of them were not wearing masks,” Wallace said. “At that time the president called — the vice president, Joe Biden, called those rallies right and necessary, with no mention of public health. I guess the question is, why the double standard where the protests were okay, but this rally was dangerous?”
“Chris, there is no double standard here. Protesting is an American right. The American people have the right to go out and raise their voices,” she responded.
Of course, there’s a double standard at play here. Attending a political rally is also a form of expression, equally protected under the same First Amendment.
The difference, of course, is that Biden and his media protectors are Leftist hypocrites.
