A virologist and whistleblower who fled China for her own safety is backing up a New York doctor who has come under attack for trying to spread the word about the efficacy of a hydroxychloroquine triple treatment he has been using to fight coronavirus in patients at his private practice.
Chinese virologist Dr. Li-Meng Yan made international headlines when she claimed last month that coronavirus came from a laboratory in Wuhan and was developed by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). She also said that China knew about coronavirus long before it claims and that her supervisors ignored work she was carrying out that could have helped people in the pandemic.
She also published a paper recently alleging that COVID-19 is an “unrestricted bioweapon” that was released intentionally. The paper states :“SARS-CoV2 is a product of laboratory modification, which can be created in approximately six months using a template virus owned by a laboratory of the People’s Liberation Army (PLA). The fact that data fabrications were used to cover up the true origin of SARS-CoV 2 further implicates that the laboratory modification here is beyond simple gain-of-function research.”
Dr. Yan, who is now in hiding, says the government of China is trying to destroy her reputation. The CCP targeted her for a “disappearance” based on what she knows about the virus, and she fled the country and believes she can never return because her life is in danger. Her mother was arrested in China, and her social media accounts were suspended. However, she recently resurfaced on Twitter with a new account that she is using to raise awareness about the origin of the virus and the coverup on the part of the Chinese government.
She has also used the social media platform to tweet her support for Dr. Zev Zelenko, the doctor who is currently planning a class action lawsuit against Twitter. Dr. Yan urged people to support his work, calling him a heroic doctor who was forced into silence after helping people use hydroxychloroquine to fight coronavirus.
Dr. Zelenko is a New York primary care physician who has been vocal about the efficacy of a combination treatment for coronavirus involving low-dose hydroxychloroquine, azithromycin and zinc. He released a retrospective analysis based on data from his patients for peer review. What set his research apart is the fact that prior studies had looked mainly at patients who were severely ill in the hospital. His study looked at patients who were treated after their first visit to his office. He used risk stratification criteria to determine which patients needed the triple drug therapy and had them take it for five days.
Of the 141 patients who were given the treatment, just 2.8 percent ended up being hospitalized; 15.4 percent of an untreated control group ended up in the hospital. Just 0.71 percent of those in the treatment group died versus 3.5 percent in the untreated group.
This synergistic treatment sees the hydroxychloroquine enabling zinc to get into cells, where it kills the virus, while azithromycin stops secondary bacterial infections from taking hold in the lungs and lowers the risk of pulmonary complications.
However, there has been a concerted effort to cast doubt on his findings as there is no opportunity to make money from this treatment, whereas less effective medications like Remdesivir are hugely profitable.
It is not surprising that Dr. Yan is supporting Dr. Zelenko. In addition to the fact that the two doctors have both been censored on social media, both are bravely speaking out about the pandemic in hopes of helping other people and saying things that others are too afraid to report.
