LOCKDOWN: Cuomo shuts down New Rochelle in New York, sets up one-mile containment zone to be patrolled by the National Guard

Just as predicted, medical martial law has finally arrived in the United States with the first government-imposed mass quarantine area for the Wuhan coronavirus (CoVid-19) reportedly being set up in New Rochelle, New York, located to the north of Manhattan.

New York Governor Andrew “infanticide” Cuomo declared New Rochelle to be the “most significant cluster (of the novel coronavirus) in the country” after a surge of new cases was recently identified there. Consequently, he’s decided to deploy National Guard troops to a Health Department command post there where they will then establish a one-mile, two-week containment area around the city.

This containment area will have a satellite testing facility for identifying new cases of the disease, and National Guard troops will also be tasked with keeping all surfaces in the area clean, as well as delivering food to local residents who will presumably be forced to stay inside their homes.

The states of New York and nearby New Jersey have both declared states of emergency in response to the Wuhan coronavirus (CoVid-19), with Westchester County alone confirming 108 known cases of the disease, or 57 percent of all known tri-state cases.

New Jersey also reported its first death from the Wuhan coronavirus (CoVid-19) in a 69-year-old man living in Bergen County. He is said to have suffered from preexisting health conditions that included emphysema, hypertension and diabetes, and had no known recent travel to high-risk countries like communist China.

“Our prayers are with the family during this difficult time,” said New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy and Lt. Gov. Sheila Oliver in a statement. “We remain vigilant to doing all we can – across all levels of government – to protect the people of New Jersey.”

Everything is shutting down due to coronavirus

Getting back to New Rochelle, which is home to the infamous midtown Manhattan lawyer who’s been linked to dozens of cases of the Wuhan coronavirus (CoVid-19) across multiple states, officials say this second confirmed case of the disease in New York is the Empire State’s first known instance of community spread.

Since that time, there have been multiple other cases of community spread in New York, which Cuomo says caused more than a dozen new cases overnight. New York currently has 173 known cases of the disease, second only to Washington state which has 179 as of this writing.

“You calibrate your response to the time and the facts and the circumstances in that place and at that time,” Cuomo is quoted as saying when asked whether or not New York City’s iconic St. Patrick’s Day Parade, scheduled for next week, will be canceled.

“So, parades, etc., we look at that on a daily basis,” he added.

As you may already know, schools all across the country are closing down and becoming online-only in response to this ongoing crisis. Many community events, sporting events, and other scheduled gatherings are also being cancelled as the nation braces for lockdowns that could eventually be on-par with what’s taking place in Wuhan, China, the epicenter of the Wuhan coronavirus (CoVid-19).

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has authorized six private labs in the state of New York to conduct coronavirus testing. At the same time, officials are still trying to reassure the public that the risk of infection remains low.
