Florida stood out during the Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic by being considerate of people’s medical freedom while managing the crisis in an impressive manner.
The state continued to impress as Florida State Surgeon General Dr. Joseph A. Ladapo recommended “against males aged 18 to 39 from receiving mRNA COVID-19 vaccines” because the data showed that these vaccines are linked to severe side effects.
“The Florida Department of Health (Department) conducted an analysis through a self-controlled case series, which is a technique originally developed to evaluate vaccine safety. This analysis found that there is an 84 percent increase in the relative incidence of cardiac-related death among males 18-39 years old within 28 days following mRNA vaccination,” he said in a statement.
As state surgeon general, Ladapo helped Florida reach the lowest case rate for COVID-19 in America without enforcing draconian mask mandates and lockdowns. His supporters also shared that his impressive leadership has contributed to these laudable public health trends.
Ladapo, a Nigerian-born American physician and researcher, was appointed as Florida’s surgeon general by Governor Ron DeSantis on September 21, 2021. He was also appointed to the position of associate professor at the University of Florida Health at the same time.
Early in March, Ladapo announced that Florida would become the first state in the U.S. that would recommend against giving children aged five and older COVID-19 vaccines, contrary to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention‘s (CDC) recommendations.
He said the decision came about because of the lack of sufficient clinical trial data on vaccines for children in this age range. Additionally, data suggest that healthy children were among the least likely to experience adverse effects from COVID-19, meaning they would only reap more risks than benefits from getting vaccinated.
And while children, including very young children, can get coronavirus, many of them don’t experience any symptoms. Even children who do get sick tend usually experience milder symptoms like cough, fatigue, and low-grade fever.
Ladapo also petitioned the CDC three months earlier to stop the approval of the COVID-19 mRNA vaccine. By the time he voiced these recommendations back in March, he had already been targeted as a conscientious critic of face masks, mask mandates and quarantines.
This isn’t the only time Ladapo has spoken up about the COVID-19 vaccine controversy.
On Sept. 2, Ladapo posted on Twitter to voice his concerns about the adverse events linked to these vaccines. He cited a study that showed a “concerning rate of serious adverse events after mRNA vaccination.”
New study published in #Vaccine shows concerning rate of serious adverse events after mRNA vaccination, but estimates are limited b/c @pfizer & @moderna_tx won’t release patient-level trial data.
Why are doctors blindly following Big Pharma?https://t.co/M2QAoUsf5J

As of Oct. 7, Ladapo is also warning young men aged 18 to 39 about the COVID- vaccine because of a “significant risk of death.” Unlike mainstream media and other states, Ladapo isn’t afraid to ask important questions.
“Why are doctors blindly following Big Pharma?”
Questions like these must be asked even if it lands someone in hot waters because studies continue to show that these vaccines aren’t always worth their alleged benefits. Starting February, DeSantis and Ladapo released a list of updated COVID-19 recommendations for Florida. The state’s guidelines were often at odds with many guidelines, restrictions and mandates imposed in other states across the country.
After announcing the updated guidelines for his constituents, DeSantis said: “People want to live freely in Florida, without corporate masking creating a two-tier society and without overbearing isolation for children.”
He added that the state wants to empower “health care practitioners to follow science, not [Anthony] Fauci’s status quo.”
DeSantis and Ladapo remain committed to pushing back against “unscientific” guidelines. They also encouraged Florida physicians to “exercise their individual clinical judgment and expertise based on their patient’s needs and preferences.”
The pair also announced several public health updates, such as:
To date, the CDC has also relaxed its COVID-19 guidelines. People who haven’t been vaccinated now have the same guidelines as those who have opted to get vaccinated.
